since 1948. Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center opened its doors on
December 6, 1999. The "state of the art" facility rests at the base of

Champion Regional Medical Center (GCRMC) is a 95 - bed acute
care, JCAHO accredited facility, dedicated to continuing a tradition of
service, quality and access for all citizens of Otero County. GCRMC is supported
by 465 employees and a 60-member staff.
Gerald
Champion Regional Medical Center is a joint vision with Holloman Air
Force Base. This Medical Center is one of the first in the country
where
civilian and military physicians practice the art of medicine in one facility.
